Martin Ron
Martin Ron has emerged in recent years as one of Argentina’s premier contemporary muralists. Ron’s trademark is to paint hyper-realistic surrealist imagery on a huge scale. He bases all of his work upon surrealist situations and uses a hyper-real technique to suggest to the viewer that his composition might actually exist. Ron based his work on the Wall around the controversial badger cull which was underway at the time. His piece depicts a giant photo realistic mechanical hand, representing the apparatus of state machinery pointing a finger of blame at a small badger.
